Synopsis

The group the PRS “tracked down” that tried to recreate a shadow effect for the “Shadow Man” photo was American Ghost Hunter. Chad Calek belongs to AGH. Not much tracking-down had to be done.

The PRS visits the former West Virginia Penitentiary to look at purported hauntings which include people hearing sounds/voices, a grainy “shadow man” photograph, and an inverted star played up as if it was something Satanic or related to devil-worship.

Ryan complains that his team members are making fun of him/situation by giggling. Ryan’s a hypocrite- see how he behaved in a client’s kitchen in front of Eilfie.

This scene with Chad being introduced was ripped off from the “Haunted Sex Dungeon.”

Note: I visited the former West Virginia State Penitentiary on 09 Nov 2010 with a professional woodworker and examined the architectural element which was portrayed in the episode as an inverted pentagram. The implication in “Darkness Falls” was that the architectural element was a sign of devil worship and evil. On that day, I also held a video interview with Paul Kirby, who was in the “Darkness Falls” episode.

This architectural element was portrayed as being related to Satanism or devil-worship. But I’ll disclose some details behind it’s construction, and a likely reason why it was in the Penitentiary.

David, portrayed as a “forensic expert,” gave a plausible explanation behind “The Shadow Man” photograph. But is this “forensic expert” actually a Paranormal State cameraman?

This “...best evidence...” photo of an alleged “Shadow Man” was taken by Polly Gear. Polly was a ghost hunting guide for the Penitentiary before and after this photo was taken, but that wasn’t mentioned.

Tom was given a made-up title of “Groundskeeper.” I met Tom and verified his actual title as Internal Coordinator with the Moundsville Economic Development Council.
