Taking a close look at what you see and hear on a “Real Life. Drama.” TV series.

DARKNESS FALLS: WHO’S DAVID, FORENSIC EXPERT?

“Forensic Expert” David was shown as being brought in to provide a scientific, rational explanation for the Polly Gear, “Shadow Man” photograph. Polly and others claim the photo is evidence of a supernatural apparition. David says he believes the photograph was of a person. But if you look closely, you can see this “Forensic Expert” has a white-colored skull on his shirt near the neckline.

So why would we see a “Forensic Expert” wearing a shirt with a skull, considering Chad said, “...a forensic scientist will never tell you a ghost, ‘cause they’re never going to touch the supernatural...”?

And how come there isn’t a “Forensic Expert” listed in the closing credits?

David, portrayed as a “forensic expert,” gives an explanation about the “Shadow Man” photograph. But could this “forensic expert” actually be a Paranormal State cameraman?

Who is “David” and what are his forensic credentials?

The so-called forensic expert’s name is David. There is no “Forensic Expert” title appearing in the closing credits of the episode, but there is a David Cavallo- who is a camera operator. Could this be the same person?

The “forensic expert” is wearing a shirt that has a skull on it. Chad Calek mentioned something to the effect that forensic scientists don’t believe in ghosts. So if this were a genuine forensic expert, why wear a shirt with a skull?

Is this really David Cavallo, Camera Operator?
WOULD A REAL “FORENSIC EXPERT” WEAR A SHIRT WITH A SKULL ON IT?

It is my opinion that David, “Forensic Expert,” is not employed as a forensic scientist for his regular day job, but was a camera operator for the “Darkness Falls” episode. Since David was conveniently on location, he was portrayed as a skeptic for the purpose of making it appear that the Paranormal Research Society (PRS) incorporates rational, scientific reasoning in their investigations, and provides a “balanced” investigation. But don’t be fooled, as the PRS has repeatedly portrayed a pro-paranormal, biased viewpoint on the majority of Paranormal State episodes.

If David was a real, “Forensic Expert,” who’s daily work involved the field of forensics, why wasn’t his full name given in the credits, along with the name of his employer?

And if, according to Chad Calek, a forensic scientist doesn’t believe in the supernatural- then what’s David doing wearing a shirt with a skull on it while supposedly providing a scientific opinion?

This is the only “David” found in the closing credits. Is this camera operator the same “David” portrayed as the “Forensic Expert?”

Chad: As I said to him, can you ever forensically prove something’s a ghost? No. So what is it to him, it’s a person. Because a forensic scientist will never tell you a ghost, ‘cause they’re never going to touch the supernatural. [...]
