Paranormal State Illustrated

Taking a close look at what you see and hear on a “Real Life. Drama.” TV series.

The idea portrayed is that beating a drum to play music will cause an alien UFO appear.

FIRST CONTACT: DRUMMING UP A UFO

On the second night of the investigation, their “last chance to make contact with whatever’s flying over Gilliland’s Ranch,” Paranormal Research Society (PRS) members are sitting around with Dave Schrader and James Gilliland, beating a drum and playing music as if that will cause an extraterrestrial UFO to appear.

In his “voice-over” voice, Ryan makes the assertion that playing music might help an extraterrestrial UFO appear. The underlined text is for my emphasis.

Considering all the events around the world where drums and/or music is played, I have yet to see one verifiable occurrence of an extraterrestrial UFO where it “powered-up” as a means to say “hi.”

Ryan: Tonight is our last chance to make contact with whatever’s flying over Gilliland’s Ranch. Some cultures believe that playing music can help raise spiritual and paranormal energies. Maybe it will heighten our chances for a close encounter with the unknown.

James: What’s really nice about here is when you use the drums or you bring out the music, it kind of unifies people, and that’s the kind of energy that actually brings in the ships.

James Gilliland talking of music, unification and “ships.”

James: It should be around 10:00 we’ll see things coming in saying “hi” to us.

2,008 drummers played Fou drums during the opening ceremonies. To me it looked like there was a lot of positive energy. I watched the entire Olympic Opening Ceremony, and didn’t see one UFO “power-up” above the Beijing National Stadium (the Birds Nest). With all that positive, drumming energy, including the enthusiasm from those in attendance and watching on TV, why wouldn’t an extraterrestrial UFO appear?

Then James Gilliland asserts that when you bring out the music, it unifies people, which brings the “ships.” At his ranch, anyway.

But what about when drums are played at other events, such as in bands, rock music groups, symphony concerts, or parades? I haven’t read or seen about UFOs at any of those events.

I do not believe that an extraterrestrial UFO is going to focus on James Gilliland’s ranch to listen for a drum, wait for Gilliland to flash a laser pointer, then “power-up” as a means to say “hi” as they fly by planet Earth.

For instance, take a look at the following screenshot from the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. I don’t recall seeing or reading about an extraterrestrial UFO powering-up over Beijing to say “hi.” It is my understanding there was plenty of positive energy, and unification, at the Opening Ceremony.
