Taking a close look at what you see and hear on a “Real Life. Drama.” TV series.

LAWS OF ATTRACTION: DEAD TIME CONFLICT

It is my opinion that this segment is composed of various shots which were made at different times, perhaps even on different days, and are not shown in the order that they naturally occurred. Also, there is a good possibility that the scene in Screenshot 3 was shot during the day, and was edited in during post-production to pass it off as happening at night. I believe this segment is an example of creative editing to create the illusion of paranormal activity, when none occurred.

This Dead Time doesn’t happen at the usual 3:00 AM.

Appears at approximately 16 minutes 18 seconds.

There is no lamp on the chest of drawers.

There is no lamp on the chest of drawers in the “Katrina Cam” shot, but about five seconds later a lamp is on the chest, but shortly after that- the lamp is gone. I believe these scenes were recorded at different times, and could have been recorded on different days, and were pieced together in post-production to pass this segment off as happening in sequence.

The following screenshots are from “Laws of Attraction,” and are arranged in the order in which they appeared. This is supposed to be the second Dead Time for this client, which supposedly occurred during the third day of the Paranormal Research Society (PRS) investigation.

If this Dead Time happened as portrayed, then how come there’s a lamp on the chest of drawers in this shot, but not in the “Katrina cam” video five seconds earlier?

Since Dead Time doesn’t happen at the usual 3:00 AM time, I question the validity of why any Dead Time had to occur at 3:00 AM. I don’t see any reason why Dead Time couldn’t be held during “normal” daylight hours. In my opinion, holding Dead Time in the dark of night is for theatrical purposes, providing the opportunity to use night vision (infrared) cameras to add an ethereal, cinematic effect.

Notice that in the following three screenshots, there is no lamp, then there is a lamp, then no lamp.

About 27 seconds after Screenshot 3,
there is no lamp.

It is my opinion that this scene was shot during the daytime, even though it is portrayed here as happening at night. I base this on the fact that it appears the lamp is turned “on,” because of the increased brightness on the lamp base and the object next to it, as well as the slight halo effect on the wall behind it. Also, it appears that there is light shinning through the window. But, since I don’t know the particulars of the video camera involved, I can only speculate this is the case.
