Taking a close look at what you see and hear on a “Real Life. Drama.” TV series.
RYAN’S BOOK: PARANORMAL STATE: MY JOURNEY INTO THE UNKNOWn
Some members of the Paranormal Research Society (PRS) don’t know how to properly wear a dust mask.
Ryan is supposed to be a paranormal investigator. Founder and Director of the Paranormal Research Society. As an investigator, one uses various types of equipment to investigate paranormal claims. Sometimes safety equipment is required in order to protect yourself from harm. Ryan has been seen not properly using a dust mask. If he can’t properly wear/use a simple piece of safety gear, or have a piece of safety equipment properly suited for the task at hand, why should we believe he can use more complex gear, like a digital thermometer or infrared thermal imaging camera?

Ryan is improperly wearing a dust mask. Notice the metal nose bridge is not compressed to form a tight seal around his nose. Dust can get in. Also, the mask he’s wearing doesn’t seem to be a charcoal-based respirator product. If it was, he wouldn’t have smelled the dead dog.

Katrina is improperly wearing a dust mask. The mask is too far down her face/nose. And, the metal nose bridge is not compressed to form a seal around her nose.
Some members of the Paranormal Research Society (PRS) don’t know how to properly wear a dust mask. So if they don’t understand how to use simple safety gear, why should we believe they know how to understand and use more complex equipment, like an infrared thermal imaging camera?
I have to write a more detailed analysis describing the difference between a dust mask and a respirator. Ryan appears to be wearing a dust mask in the following examples. The metal piece around the nose is not compressed to form a tight seal around his nose, so it isn’t properly fitted. Also, had he been wearing a government-approved and properly worn respirator, depending on the type- he should not have had to smell the dead dog.
