DEVIL IN JERSEY: ANTHONY AND HIS DRAWING
“Witness” Anthony shows Katrina a drawing he supposedly made after claiming to have seen a large, winged creature he didn’t know how to describe, although he told friends he saw a pterodactyl. The drawing doesn’t share too many similarities with what’s supposed to be the “Jersey Devil,” nor does it fit with what “Paranormal Researcher” Jim’s notion the “Jersey Devil” could be a deformed, feral person with lots of loose skin under its arms. The episode fails to present information as to how and why Anthony might be a credible witness, and fails to provide any scientific evidence supporting the drawing. There is no “Anthony” even listed in the closing credits.

“Witness” Anthony describes a flying creature he claims to have seen. We aren’t given his last name, and there’s no mention of him in the closing credits. His drawing is a departure of a typical “Jersey Devil.”

Anthony, a “witness,” about to show Katrina a drawing.
Towards the beginning of the episode, Anthony talks with Katrina.
Anthony presents a drawing of a winged creature he claimed to have seen. The drawing and his statements are anecdotal, but yet included in this Paranormal State episode, as evidence that the “Jersey Devil” has been recently sighted.
How are we to know if Anthony is honest and telling the truth, or if the flying creature scenario is fact or fantasy? Anthony seems to be the only one to have seen this and made a drawing, and there are no photographs or video to support his claim. We are never told who Anthony is, or how and why we should believe him, or why we should trust the accuracy and legitimacy of his drawing. His last name isn’t given with his on-screen caption, nor is his name/last name listed in the closing credits.
Ryan and his Paranormal Research Society (PRS) members are connected to a multitude of false, misleading, inaccurate and fabricated scenarios with Paranormal State, so why should we believe there is any truth or validity to Anthony’s drawing or claims?

Appears at approximately 4 minutes and 44 seconds.
Anthony’s winged creature drawing doesn’t have hooves, legs/arms, or a horse-type head typically associated with the “Jersey Devil.” Since there is no scientific photographic evidence that validates such a creature, I guess people can say whatever they want, and draw whatever they want.
